The Unexpected gift of starting again
Because the story didn’t end.
🌌 AFTER THE FINAL CHAPTER
There’s this strange thing that happens when you finish a book—especially one that wrecked you and remade you:
You think you’ll feel relief. Closure maybe. Or the sweet satisfaction of writing “The End.”
I wrote Soul of the Stars knowing that it was the first in a series of books.
I wrote Chaos of the Stars knowing that it was only the next step.
In no way did I believe it was a conclusion.
But in no way did I even think it would become more.
💭 THE STORY THAT WON’T LET GO
Some stories close themselves gently while others grip your collar and whisper, “We’re not done yet.”
That’s what this one did.
Even before I hit “save” on the second draft of Chaos of the Stars, scenes from Book Three began to stir.
I will admit, however, that I knew the outline for Book Three long before I knew the pivotal details of Chaos of the Stars.
However, I was ready to keep going when I hit that “save” button.
There was this ache.
A wave of whispers.
A flood of images, scenes, echoes of moments that I haven’t written yet.
And this deep desire to keep going.
I started to see glimpses:
Maleah stepping into her next phase.
A homecoming that doesn’t feel like home
A truth that costs more than anyone was ready to pay
It is wild, half-formed, and completely unshakable.
🔥 WHAT I KNOW (AND WHAT I DON’T)
I don’t have a full title yet, but I am sure you can begin to see a pattern…
But I do want to tell you this:
Book Three is about becoming.
Learning the truth about who we are.
Discovering the truth about where we come from.
Reconciling with the truth about who we are born to become.
Where Soul of the Stars was about awakening…
And Chaos of the Stars was about responsibility…
Book Three is about becoming.
And I already know it will change me.
✍️ IF YOU’RE SOMEWHERE IN YOUR OWN “AFTER”
Maybe you’ve finished something recently—a chapter, a season, a story—and you’re in that strange in-between space.
If so, let me offer this:
The after is sacred, too.
It’s where questions arise.
Where grief meets grace.
Where God begins to rebuild the next version of you—with gentleness and purpose.
Don’t rush through it.
Don’t try to force the next chapter before it’s ready.
Simply, let it rise.
Let it ruin and renew you.
💌 WHAT’S NEXT (FOR ME AND FOR YOU)
Chaos of the Stars is coming.
While there is still much to be done before Chaos of the Stars is ready for your reading pleasure, I am beyond excited to begin the initial braindumps for Book Three.
If you want to walk that road with me—through the editing, revising, and the drafting and refining-and every moment of “I can’t do this again,” in-between—you’re invited.

📣 And comment below if this resonates with you: “I’m in my own in-between.”
Let’s hold that space together.
Because the story doesn’t end when the book does.
Not for the characters.
Not for the readers.
And definitely not for the writer.
